Feng Shui for Wealth 101 by Eva Cariffe
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of placement that promotes life fulfillment through harnessing and distributing energies into an area or location. It is also a complex body of knowledge that reveals how to balance the energies in any given space and time to assure the "http://fengshui.about.com/od/health/qt/stayhealthy.htm" health and good fortune for the people inhabiting them. The literal translation means "wind and water." In the Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health, therefore "http://fengshui.about.com/od/glossaryofterms/g/shengchi.htm" good feng shui came to mean good fortune. Implementing the principles of this three- to four-thousand year old wisdom correctly into the space we live and/or work, will enhance our lives.
Good feng shui brings you the opportunity to create and seek your own wealth and fortune. It helps you to create an environment, both at home and at the office, that will strengthen and attract energies of wealth. As the old masters say, feng shui will bring you wealth if you strive for it. In other words, you need to take ACTION to reap the benefits of the energies provided by your home or office feng shui. Although feng shui may seem overwhelming and complex, there are many things you can do to enhance wealth through your space.
Some people confuse income with wealth. Yes, a good income can help you build wealth. However when we talk about wealth from a feng shui perspective, we mean investments, stock market, gold, real estate, etc. Day-to-day and month-to-month income is considered career luck. Wealth and career luck have different locations on the Bagua map.
Many of you may have heard of the Bagua map, but some are probably wondering what this is. The simplest way to explain the Bagua map is by identifying it with the nine tic-tac-toe squares. The middle square corresponds to the center of your house/office and the other squares correspond to the eight directions. Each of these areas/squares, besides representing a direction, has a corresponding life aspiration (wealth, health, love etc). You can then super-impose the Bagua map over the floor plan of your house so that the directions of the map match the compass directions of your house.
This is like a treasure map. You can trace not just the wealth energies in your house/ office, but all major life aspirations (health, love, career, etc). The map holds a lot of other useful information. With the body of information from integrating your floor plan with the Bagua map, you are equipped to enhance, cure and adjust your own space in a way that can bring you life fulfillment.
A good feng shui practitioner will assess and integrate many different aspect of the space such as when the house was build, major house renovations, directions, family members' information
(DOB). However there are many easy steps that you can take to improve your wealth feng shui as of this moment:
